THE FUEGO BURNS THE WONDER IN FRESNO'S HOME OPENER
With over 500 people in attendance at Memorial High School yesterday, the Fresno Fuego dominated the Nevada Wonder out shooting them 17-3. Not only was the scoring great to see but the overall style of play and creative individual skills shown by the Fuego players out classed Nevada and impressed the crowd. Goals by Orlando Ramirez, Milton Blanco, and Rojelio Padilla in the first half gave the Fuego a comfortable lead going in to half-time. Edgardo Contreras scored his first goal of the season in the second half bringing the Fuego's total to four goals. The Wonder was given a penalty for a hand ball in the box allowing them to erase the Fuego's chance for a shutout.
