Fuego mourns passing of co-owner

The Fresno Fuego announces the passing of co-owner Juan Alvarez, father of Fuego CEO Francisco Alvarez and President Antonio Alvarez. Mr. Alvarez was a strong supporter of the Fuego and strongly believed in the Premier Development League (PDL) and United Soccer Leagues as a platform for those players who dream of a professional career. He passed away on Monday, September 20th at the age of 69.
“(Mr. Alvarez) was a big reason for the Fuego’s success,” says Fresno’s General Manager Alfredo Guzman. “He showed love and admiration for every member of the Fuego franchise.” See more information…
