FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Fuego F.C., four-time Southwest Division Champions in the Premier Development League (PDL), will conduct their annual Winter Combine, presented by Marquez Brothers El Mexicano Brand, during the first weekend of the 2015 calendar. The combine will take place at Clovis East High School with the first session on Saturday, January 3rd at 10:00 a.m. and the final session on Sunday, January 4th at noon. Players must participate in all sessions to validate their registration in the tryout.

To register, interested individuals can fill out a downloadable registration form online from www.FresnoFuego.com. A $60 fee for registration covers the cost to participate in the combine, a Fuego Combine t-shirt and a lunch on Saturday.

***Deadline to register is on Friday, December 19, 2014***

“This combine is designed to allow players to showcase their talents and to provide an opportunity for aspiring soccer players,” stated Fresno Fuego General Manager Jeremy Schultz. “Every year new talent is discovered during the trials and new players get the opportunity to contribute to the history of Fuego success.”

The purpose of the Winter Combine is to allow local and collegiate players the opportunity to workout with and against current roster Fuego players. The Fuego coaching staff will evaluate and identify players with the goal of discovering talent for the 2015 United Soccer Leagues PDL 14-game season. Select participants from the trials will be guaranteed entry into the Fuego Preseason Camp. In addition to their 2014 regular season, the Fresno Fuego competed in exhibitions against the San Jose Earthquakes reserves, LA Galaxy II (USL PRO), and the Sacramento Republic (USL PRO).

The combine will be broken down into three sessions over the weekend as follows:

Saturday, January 3rd: Session 1 – 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
            (Lunch Provided)                        Session 2 – 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, January 4th:               Session 3 – 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

*All players must wear white tops, black shorts and socks.

The Fresno Fuego is the only soccer platform of its caliber in the Central Valley and is dedicated to develop and prepare players to advance into the highest levels of the game. Every year new players get the opportunity to compete amongst top tier players during the combine in working towards earning their spot on the Fresno Fuego roster.
