FRESNO FUEGO WILL HOST FINAL OPEN TRYOUT PRIOR TO SEASON OPENER

FRESNO, Calif. — The 2013 Southwest Division Champion Fresno Fuego of the Premier Development League (PDL) will hold an open tryout from March 29-30 at Clovis East High School (2940 N Leonard Ave, Clovis, CA 93619). The two-day tryout is open to players age 16 and up.

Interested players must pre-register by downloading the sign-up form on www.FresnoFuego.com. The non-refundable registration fee for the two-day tryout is $99.

A completed form and payment must be submitted by mail to ATTN: Fresno Fuego 1800 Tulare Street, Fresno, CA 93721 by Thursday, March 27, 2014. Players under the age of 18 at the time of registration must have a guardian signature on their form.

Registration check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday March 29th and is followed by the tryout sessions at 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The Sunday session is from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Players must attend and participate in all three sessions to be considered for the 2014 roster.

“As we build for our 2014 season it is important that we evaluate and identify the next generation of Fresno Fuego players,” said Fuego General Manager Jeremy Schultz. “The open tryout is an incredible opportunity for young aspiring players and experienced veterans to compete with our current players and showcase their ability for a roster spot.”  

The Fresno Fuego begin the 2014 regular season on May 11th at Chukchansi Park when they take on the LA Misioneros FC at 5:00 p.m. Opening night is presented by Marquez Brothers El Mexicano Brand and the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Fresno Fuego t-shirt.

General admission tickets to all Fresno Fuego home games remain free of charge, courtesy of Univision Fresno.
