FUEGO 2016 PREMIER DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE SEASON SCHEDULE RELEASED
Fresno Fuego change divisions, open play against Burlingame Dragons in May

FRESNO, Calif. – Today, Fresno Fuego Futbol Club released its 14-game schedule for the 2016 season.  The club will begin its’ campaign on Friday, May 6, with a match against defending Southwest division champions Burlingame Dragons at 7:30pm at Downtown Fresno’s beautiful Chukchansi Park.

The Fuego will play a 7-game home schedule, with three of the home fixtures being played on Thursday nights, a popular promotional night for fans.  The home games come early and often, as the club will play four home games in the month of May, followed by two in June, and one in July.

Additionally, the Fuego have been realigned into the Premier Development League’s (PDL) newly-formed Central Pacific division, with the league splitting the historically strong Southwest Division, separating California clubs into two divisions.  The Central Pacific Division includes Burlingame Dragons, BYU Cougars, Las Vegas Mobsters, and new PDL club San Francisco City FC.

ABOUT THE FRESNO FUEGO

The Fresno Fuego are four-time champions of the Southwest Division in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid and the top level of amateur soccer in North America.  Founded in 2003, the team competes in the newly-formed Central Pacific Division of the PDL Western Conference.  More than 50 Fuego players have moved on to sign professional contracts.
