Contact: Chris Kutz FUEGO TO HOST 4v4 CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT AT AL RADKA PARK Over 90 teams will be participating in all-day tournament FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Fuego will be hosting the Fresno Fuego 4v4 Challenge this Sunday, April 14th at Al Radka Park in Fresno. Ninety-eight teams will play 161 games on 20 fields throughout the all-day tournament. The 4v4 Challenge will feature six age divisions (U9-U14) for boys and girls. First games start at 8:30 am . “This Sunday, Al Radka Park will be buzzing with energy shared by the Valley’s soccer community,” said Fuego General Manager Jeremy Schultz. “We are looking forward to hosting the tournament and creating fun for families on and off the field.” The Fresno Fuego 4v4 Challenge is a nonstop day of soccer. Fields of play are 25 yards long and 20 yards wide. Team rosters will have a maximum of seven players, but only four can be on the field of play at a time for each squad. Each game consists of two 15-minute halves with a five-minute halftime. Teams earn three points with a win, one point for a tie, and no points for a loss. Each age division starts with group play, with top teams from each group advancing to semifinals and finals in their respective age division. Winners of each age division will receive a Tournament Championship Team Trophy and individual t-shirts. About the Fresno Fuego Founded in 2003, the Fresno Fuego compete in the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The team has never suffered a losing season, helped in part by the fourteen former Fuego players that have gone on to sign professional contracts over the last 10 years.
