In celebration of the opening round of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Fresno Fuego, California Odyssey Soccer Club and LinkUs are hosting a free public viewing party at the Trading Post Shopping Center on the corner of Clovis Ave and Herndon Ave on Saturday, June 12. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. with kickoff of the USA vs. England match at 11:30 a.m.

The World Cup action will be shown LIVE on multiple big screen TVs courtesy of LinkUs. Admission is free with local food vendors, beer garden and Kid’s Zone.

Immediately following the game, the Fresno Fuego will be raffling off (4) 50″ Sumsung Plasma TVs. (Must be present to win)

The World Cup Celebration will also feature a Juggle-A-Thon with local youth soccer players for the California Odyssey Soccer Club along with players from the Fresno Fuego in their quest to keep the ball in the air for 10 straight hours.

To kick off the World Cup Celebration, the Fresno Fuego will host the defending PDL National Champions, the Ventura County Fusion on June 10 at Chukchansi Park. The Fresno Fuego will be wearing special World Cup themed jerseys during the game and will immediately auction them off LIVE after the game. It’s another Thirsty Thursday with $1.00 beverages.
