FUEGO ANNOUNCES MLS EXHIBITION SCHEDULE
Quakes, Chivas to visit Downtown Fresno
FRESNO – The Fresno Fuego announced today their exhibition schedule featuring two Major League Soccer teams as they begin their 2010 campaign. The San Jose Earthquakes return to Chukchansi Park for their second straight season on Saturday February 27, 2010. The following Saturday, March 6th Fuego play host to Chivas USA in a much anticipated match in Downtown Fresno with both games kicking off at 7:00pm.
The San Jose Earthquakes visit Fresno for the second time in two years to take on the Fuego in a friendly match prior to the MLS season. Coach Frank Yallop and the Quakes use the exhibition meeting as preparation for their season opener on March 27 against the defending MLS Cup Champions, Real Salt Lake at Buck Shaw Stadium.
Chivas USA comes back to Chukchansi Park for the 4th time and leads the series 2 to 1 against the Fuego. Martin Vasquez comes into his first season as Head Coach of the club after being on staff in Germany’s Bundesliga for the club Bayern Munich.
