The Fresno Fuego did not disappoint the 3,827 fans in attendance with a 3-0 victory over the L.A Legends in their 2009 home opener. The Fuego jumped out to an early lead in the first half as Fabricio Codeceira slotted home a penalty kick in the 33rd minute. In the second half it was Codeceira again as he set up first year player Jose “Chiva” Cuevas for the second goal of the match and Cuevas’ first career PDL goal. Santiago Aguilera put the Legends away as he buried one in the back of the net after receiving a great ball from Jonathan Torres. The Fuego take on the Ventura County Fusion Saturday, May 16 in Ventura and are back home May 22nd at 7:00pm and May 24th at 2:00pm versus the Southern California Seahorses and the Lancaster Rattlers.
