FRESNO, CA – Saturday, May 9th the Fresno Fuego will host the Los Angeles Legends at 7:00pm in their 2009 home opener at Chukchansi Park. Gates open at 6:00pm and tickets are only $5.  Get to the stadium early as the first 1,000 fans with receive Thunder Sticks courtesy of Marquez Brothers and El Mexicano Brand.

You can catch all 2009 home games on television courtesy of anythingfresno.com. The games will be broadcasted on Azteca America Channel 77, KMSG Channel 39 and KJEO Channel 32 starting at midnight following the night’s game. Check your local listing for further details.

The Fresno Fuego are partnering with the American Cancer Society and the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society to promote cancer awareness. Javier Mendoza, a local resident of Fresno currently battling Cancer, will be presenting the game ball. The Fuego will be conducting a 50/50 raffle throughout the game in which proceeds will be donated towards taking a kick out of cancer.  

Prior to the game, The Fresno Bee and Vida en el Valle is presenting the Inaugural All-Valley High School Soccer Showcase. Boys and Girls all valley high school all-star games will be played. Girls start at 3:30 and the boys kick-off at 5:00.
