Zack Simmons, goalkeeper of the 2007 Fuego national semi-finalist team, and co-defensive player of the year, has been named the Division 1 Men’s Soccer Academic All-American for 2008. The UMASS goalkeeper was named the A-10 Scholar Athlete, first team all conference, and all-tournament team. He is also up for the Soccer News Player of the Year (he won it last year).
