The Fresno Fuego held their first soccer camp of the 2008 season on Saturday at Farmersville High School. Nearly 100 young soccer players were on hand to learn more about soccer from Fuego players Fabricio Codeceira, Adan Arteaga, Raul Rivera, and Robert Rodriguez. The event was free to all participants, thanks to Bimbo Bakeries.

Bimbo Bakeries gave away cookies and all sorts of sweets to the participants, and the Fugeo gave away tickets and jerseys.

The next Bimbo Bakeries/Fuego Soccer Camp takes place on Wednesday, May 28 at Lindsay High School. For more information on the camps, please call Fabricio Codeceira at (559) 320-2543.

The Fuego play their next two games on the road, and return to Chukchansi Park on Friday, May 23, hosting the San Jose Frogs at 7:00 p.m. for a Veteran’s Game presented by the U.S. Army. The first 2,000 fans in attendance receive a Fuego Rally Towel, and following the game there will be a spectacular fireworks show. In addition, the Fuego will wear special red, white, and blue jerseys during the game, with a live auction to follow.

Tickets for all Fuego home games can be purchased at the Chukchansi Park Box Office, or by calling (559) 320-TIXS. For more information on the Fuego, visit the team’s new website at
