Fuego falls to Chivas USA in exhibition

Before an attendance of more than 4,500 Fresno Fuego was defeated 6-2 by CD Chivas USA on Saturday March 12th at McLane High School in its first exhibition game of the year.

First goal was scored by forward Arturo Torres in the 7th minute of the match. Matt Taylor added the second goal for Chivas USA in the 40th minute of first half with an assist from Costa Rican international Douglas Sequeira. Substitute Victor Lopez puts the Fuego on the scoreboard in the 47th minute with an assist from Noah Delgado. Matt Taylor scored his second goal of the night in the 56th minute to give Chivas USA a 3-1 lead.

Sequeira also scored on the 65th and 85th minute of the game and MLS veteran Francisco Gomez scored in the 72nd minute from 25 yd. direct kick to beat goal keeper Nick Hammond.

Once again Victor Lopez scores his second goal of the night in the 86th minute.

Fuego will play its next exhibition game against LA Galaxy on Saturday March 26th at Lamonica Stadium at Clovis High School. Kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
